The Company:
Our client is a well renowned supplier of control systems technology to both the Nuclear and Defence industries. As a result of continued growth they are seeking a Web Developer to be based at their offices in the near Wycombe and Rickmansworth.

The Role:
The Web Developer is responsible for ensuring a robust, stable and user friendly environment for the Internet and Intranet sites. The jobholder will provide a high level of technical support and will assist with all aspects relating to the provision of information to our user base.

• Liaise closely with the customer at the design stage, documenting the requirements and compiling cost of implementation,
• Provide a design storyboard to sell the design to the customer,
• Transform business problems into a web based solution,
• To produce a design that will be attractive to the target user against the agreed requirements,
• Understand web security, multi-tier architectures and how to implement and test them,
• Manage and roll out websites on both Windows (IIS) and Linux (Plesk & Apache) hosting environments,
• Able to use Integrated Design Environments, such as Dreamweaver and Visual Studio 2010,
• Able to use graphic design packages such as Fireworks or Photoshop in order to produce basic layout and manipulate images,
• Coding of a website and then test and maintenance of the site to company standards,
• Fault finding and trouble shooting of web sites, web-services and hosting environments. Reacting to problems and correcting the program as necessary,
• Writing detailed documentation for the operation of the program by users and computer operators,
• Consulting manuals, periodicals and technical reports to learn new ways to develop programs and maintain existing skills and knowledge.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Suitable and relevant experience within a web development / design and support function,
• Prior demonstrable hands on experience with HTML or XHTML, ASP, ASP.net, CSS, JavaScript,.Net, Flash, PHP,and Visual Studio 2010,
• A solid and proven experience of IT Security with good project management skills and experience,
• Able to communicate at all levels and customer focused with the ability to interpret business needs, building strong effective relationships across both UECCS, Group and other Ultra businesses,
• Must be prepared to play an active role in developing future strategies for the internet and intranet.
• You may also have prior experience of Microsoft SharePoint 2007 / 2010 and excellent skills in the installation, design and development of MS SharePoint sites.
HNC/HND in Computing or City & Guilds in Computing or equivalent,
