The Company:
The company designs, constructs, transports, installs and removes offshore facilities for the global oil and gas industry. During the last decades they have become a significant international player in the offshore oil and gas construction industry. The Group consists of two divisions, each with a specific role in the activities of the Group

The Role:
Due to a large project we are recruiting on an ongoing basis for Coded Structural Welders. Working as part of a large welding team you will be welding steel pipe and plate work for the fabrication of Oil & Gas and Structural steelwork.

Structural Welders:

6G & 6GR Coded Welding in one or more of the following welding procedures:
SMAW (Stick) root/ GSFCAW (MIG Flux Core) fill and cap
Full GSFCAW (MIG Flux Core)
Rooting Wire (PZ6125) with GSFCAW or SMAW fill

Pay Rates:

Limited Company, Umbrella & PAYE available;


Basic £16.34 + £2.37 holiday credit (37 hours MON - THURS)
Nights £21.78 + £2.37 holiday credit (37 hours MON - THURS)
OT1 £24.51 (Over 37 hours MON - THURS, all day FRI & first 4 hours SAT)
OT2 £32.68 (After 4 hours SAT & All day SUN)


Basic £21.51 (37 hours MON - THURS)
Nights £27.70 (37 hours MON - THURS)
OT1 £28.11 (Over 37 hours MON - THURS, all day FRI & first 4 hours SAT)
OT2 £37.41 (After 4 hours SAT & All day SUN)

The standard working week is 40 hours Mon - Thursday but you are paid 41 hour (37 hours @ basic rate, 4 hours @ OT1) OVERTIME FRIDAY - SUNDAY

• The interpretation of fabrication drawings weld procedure documentation and weld inspection procedures
• Ensure that the welding consumables are in accordance with the welding procedures have been stored correctly and are maintained as required during fabrication.
• Carry out the welding operation in accordance with the correct weld procedure and current work instructions.
• Liaise with inspectors as required
• Be responsible for the accuracy and content of their own work
• Quality safety health and environmental awareness (e.g. responsible for own and others safety
• Be responsible for general good house keeping and safe working practices in the workshop and on facility.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Previous coded welding experience and an ability to perform a successful ASME IX production welding test.
• Experience within Oil & Gas or construction with Arc Air Gouging experience.
• An understanding of company quality, safety, health & environmental systems & programmes
• Communicate in a positive manner with shop floor personnel and discipline supervisor.
• Completed a recognised training programme e.g. time served apprenticeship
