The Company:
Our client specialise the in design, manufacture, assembly, test, installation & commissioning of bespoke solutions for the nuclear industry.

The Role:
A full time contract opportunity exists for an experienced welder with experience in highly-regulated industries. The role will involve rigorous test pieces and final welds for the client, which will involve restricted access tests through the Tig route. Therefore, applicants must have worked in a similar environment to the nuclear industry previously.

Shifts will be a rotation of a week of earlys (approx. 5.30-2) followed by a week of lates (approx. 1pm-9.30pm), so applicants must be flexible to work these hours. 37.5 hours per week.

Role Purpose:
- Carbon Steel Welding (mainly) and Stainless Steel Welding of construction on nuclear site

Competences:
- Experienced in Welding safety critical pressure vessels and pipework
- Mechanical testing of work that requires consistently passing inspection
- Follows weld maps
- Maintains documentation as life time records are kept
- Must be a Good Team Worker with Good communications skills to insure information is passed from one shift to another.
- Product Audit/Verification of weld process and experience of associated records
- Ability to interpret Engineering Customer Specifications and Engineering Drawings and define Weld requirements, Acceptance criteria, qualifications and approvals.
- Pipe work installation and Pipe bending maybe advantageous

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- 3-5+ Years in either Nuclear or Aerospace/Defence/Oil & Gas sector
- Coded Welder
- Apprentice Trained
