The Company:
A specialist in the design, manufacture, assembly, test, installation & commissioning of bespoke solutions for the nuclear industry.

The Role:
A full time contract opportunity exists for an experienced welder within the nuclear sector. The role will involve welding to x-ray standards and applicants must have worked in a similar highly-regulated environment to the nuclear industry previously.

Shifts will be a rotation of a week of earlys (approx. 5.30-2) followed by a week of lates (approx. 1pm-9.30pm), so applicants must be flexible to work these hours. 37.5 hours per week.

Role Purpose:
- Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel Welding of constructions on a nuclear site

Competences:
- Experienced in Welding safety critical pressure vessels and pipework
- Mechanical testing of work that requires consistently passing inspection
- Follows weld maps
- Maintains documentation as life time records are kept
- Must be a Good Team Worker with Good communications skills to insure information is passed from one shift to another.
- Product Audit/Verification of weld process and experience of associated records
- Ability to interpret Engineering Customer Specifications and Engineering Drawings and define Weld requirements, Acceptance criteria, qualifications and approvals.
- Pipe work installation and Pipe bending maybe advantageous

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- 3-5+ Years in either Nuclear or Aerospace/Defence/Oil & Gas sector
- Coded Welder
- Apprentice Trained
