The Role:
Our client a Major Oil & Gas operator is looking for a Welding & Material Engineer to join their team in Italy.
Duration: 12 months +
Project: onshore, design of an oil centre for oil, gas & LPG treatment.
The items covered are pressure vessels (boilers, columns, drums, exchangers) storage tanks, valves, piping, structures,
To review all welding and material details engineering documentation
To give assistance in technical support of contractor procurement activities (vendors selection approval, material requisition, vendors technical queries, vendors documentation) in liaison iwth the lead layout and PVV Engineer, Inspection engineers and the expeditor
To report Welding and material engineering progress and concerns regularly to te lead layout and PVV Engineer
To participate to all neccessar y technical coordination meetings required on welding and material PVV discipline
To assist in internal and external audits activities and provide answers as required.

Qualifications/Skills needed:
10 years experience in welding and material engineering within the Oil & Gas Industry
Experirience as a client representative
Must be able to speak English and French
