The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Welding and Materials Project Engineer to

Review and implementation of project welding specifications
Review of project materials and project equipment drawings and specifications
Review and implementation of project construction & QA/QC specifications
Technical evaluation and implementation of construction / fabrication bids
Technical negotiation with suppliers and contractors.
Technical oversight of suppliers and contractors during development and execution of fabrication
Travel and in country (AZ) work required.

RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES

Technical management of contractor planning, qualification and execution, welding and QA/QC program.
Responsible for all technical aspects for Materials / welding / ECA and NDE for marine pipelines, and marine equipment.
Review, help develop and clarify contractors proposals, procedures and systems for development of marine and subsea base welding and QA/QC procedures.
Approve qualification of welders and procedures for marine pipelines and marine fabrication.
Approval of contractor QC personnel qualifications.
Approve qualification of QA/QC systems and procedures for marine pipelines and marine fabrication
Review welding concession requests and corrective actions from suppliers and contractors

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Chartered Engineer/University degree or equivalent relevant qualification in Welding / Materials Engineering
• At least 10 years general engineering & experience within the Oil & Gas industry, preferably with a minimum 5 years site and offshore experience in a fabrication or pipeline installation team role.
• Familiarization with Client specifications for welding and QA a plus.
• Familiarization with industry codes and standards for welding pipe (including CRA), and structural steel.
• Familiarization with industry standards for QA/QC on Marine pipelines and marine fabrication.
• CSWIP level 3 Welding inspector (or equivalent is a plus)
• CSWIP Auto UT (Phased array) (or equivalent is a plus)
