QA/QC - Inspection Services Position Welding Engineer Team Lead Vacancy

Location LAEM CHABANG Minimum 10 years combination of NDE Inspection, Welding Engineer, QC Inspection in relevant oil & gas industry Qualification


• Engineering degree / professional college qualification related to oil & gas industry
• CSWIP/PCN/ASNT Level III - UT, RT, MT & PT and Certified Welding Engineer or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 year’s combination of NDE Inspection, Welding Engineer, QC Inspection in relevant oil & gas industry.
• Minimum 3 years as Supervisory Capacity, in relevant oil & gas industry.
• Inspection Technology AUT, TOFD experience an advantage
• Conversion in ISO 9001 Quality Systems and Broad knowledge of Oil & Gas Construction Codes and Specifications
• Good command of (written & spoken) English language and man management skills.
Special Skills
• Able to lead and conduct technical quality audit related to NDT, QA/QC/ welding activities of potential vendors and existing Subcontractors.
• Broad knowledge of all NDT techniques.
• Conversant in international constructions codes & standards such as AWS, ASME, ANSI, API, DNV, ASTM, BS, etc.
• Strong background and conversant, in the operation and maintenance of QMS in accordance with ISO 9001.
• Must be proficient in English communication.
• Must have international outlook, assertive and be able to put factual points of view across to Clients during technical discussions.
• Possess the expected computer skills / knowledge.

• Establish and or validate NDE procedural instructions, procedures & techniques, personnel & equipment used for testing/inspection.
• Review and approve NDE inspection reports.
• Review and track NDE cost of all NDE personnel and test equipment / instruments.
• Verification by cross-checking of all NDE technicians (either CUEL or Sub-contract personnel).
• Weekly base tracking of NDE reports, weld repair rate and welder performance preparation and maintaining Company KPI welder / Production repair rate.
• To supervise Welding Engineer to coordinate with relevant parties Engineering, Certifying Authority, Client) for the preparation and qualification of pWPSs and compilation of Project Specific WPSs & PQRs for approval.
• Interface with 3th Parties / Welding Specialist / Client Welding / Material Specialist to trouble shoot & resolve on welding / material / failures analysis / & NDT, if any arises.
• Maintain as low as possible NCR / PRNCA. Develop new welding processes to increase welding productivity.
• Perform periodic quality audits of Offsite Venders / Manufacturer – QA / QC / Welding / NDT, as part of the pre qualification process to meet ISO / QMS requirement.
• Training / provide guidance of Welding / NDT personnel / Welding Inspector of all levels as fields / short internal workshops / Presentation.
