The Company:
Our client specialises in heavy, complex, and high quality and weld content steel fabrication. They have significant experience of the oil & gas, renewables, bridges (road, rail & pedestrian), and high rise commercial buildings, market sectors.

The Role:
Working at one of two North East workshops you will be required to carry out welding inspection and related activities in accordance with project specifications and national standards. Mentor by example to promote a safe, healthy, productive environment. Be ambassadors of the production workforce and facilities.

• To assist in the preparation and planning of inspection activities in accordance with Project ITP.
• To establish and maintain records, which demonstrate achievement of the required quality.
• To liaise with subcontractors.
• To maintain inspection and test status.
• To control the authorised system of documentation issued by the QA Department.
• To contribute to the review of documentation and change as appropriate.
• To ensure that procedures are followed and maintained by carrying out daily welder audits.
• To identify and report possible problems to the Quality Control Manager and recommend possible solutions for such problems.
• To perform NDE co-ordination through the PC System.
• To supervise NDE subcontractors.
• To review subcontractor’s documentation packages.
• To review radiographs (if qualified).
• To complete final project documentation in a timely manner by reviewing and approving weld summary sheets on a weekly basis.
• Individual risk awareness within job role.
• To complete SHE inspection check lists at sub-contractor locations.

Previous experienc ein Welding Inspection, ideally within the Oil & Gas Fabrication sector
