The Company:
The company designs, constructs, transports, installs and removes offshore facilities for the global oil and gas industry. During the last decades they have become a significant international player in the offshore oil and gas construction industry. The Group consists of two divisions, each with a specific role in the activities of the Group

The Role:
Function:
To carry out welding inspection and related activities in accordance with project specifications and national standards. Mentor by example to promote a safe, healthy, productive environment. Be ambassadors of the production workforce and facilities.

Responsibilities
• To ensure adherence to Company Policy and procedures and Handbook
• Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental awareness (e.g. responsible for own and others safety).
• To perform tasks which may be requested by management / supervision, from time to time.
• To perform tasks delegated by the Quality Control Manager.
• To assist in the preparation and planning of inspection activities in accordance with Project ITP.
• To establish and maintain records, which demonstrate achievement of the required quality.
• To liaise with subcontractors.
• To maintain inspection and test status.
• To control the authorised system of documentation issued by the QA Department.
• To contribute to the review of documentation and change as appropriate.
• To ensure that procedures are followed and maintained by carrying out daily welder audits.
• To identify and report possible problems to the Quality Control Manager and recommend possible solutions for such problems.
• To perform NDE co-ordination through the PC System.
• To supervise NDE subcontractors.
• To review subcontractor’s documentation packages.
• To review radiographs (if qualified).
• To complete final project documentation in a timely manner by reviewing and approving weld summary sheets on a weekly basis.
• Individual risk awareness within job role.
• To complete SHE inspection check lists at sub-contractor locations.

Authority:
• Access to Production Departments to perform inspections and tests.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Competency Requirements:
• Successful SHE Induction
• Minimum of 20 credits Section 7.1 GP 16-04 & CSWIP 3.1
• Communicate in a positive manner with all departmental personnel.
• An understanding of Company Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental systems and programmes.
• Planning & Organisational skills that enable the implementation of his duties and the Company strategy.
• Valid UK Driving Licence.

Welding Inspector
• A working knowledge of fabrication and isometric drawing.
• A working knowledge of national standards e.g. EEMUA 158, ASME IX. BSEN 15164-1
• A working knowledge of Weldeye and IFS

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Training Requisite:
• Computer training
• Coresys Production Control System.
