The Company:
Our Client total engineering solutions, specialising in precision machined, high integrity fabrications, comfortably handling repeat batches of components through to bespoke, large scale fabricated structures. They supply various sectors including Oil & Gas, Defence, Rail and Automotive.

The Role:
The candidate must hold a current CSWIP Level 2 qualification and have previous experience in large fabrication weld inspection.
The position will be to inspect the welding activities, carry out weld audits, inspect products dimensionally, visual inspection of welds.
Shift work will be involved on both day and night shift.
Hourly rate to be agreed.

Responsibilities
• To ensure adherence to Company Policy and procedures and Handbook
• Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental awareness (e.g. responsible for own and others safety).
• To perform tasks which may be requested by management / supervision, from time to time.
• To perform tasks delegated by the Quality Control Manager.
• To assist in the preparation and planning of inspection activities in accordance with Project ITP.
• To establish and maintain records, which demonstrate achievement of the required quality.
• To liaise with subcontractors.
• To maintain inspection and test status.
• To control the authorised system of documentation issued by the QA Department.
• To contribute to the review of documentation and change as appropriate.
• To ensure that procedures are followed and maintained by carrying out daily welder audits.
• To identify and report possible problems to the Quality Control Manager and recommend possible solutions for such problems.
• To perform NDE co-ordination through the PC System.
• To supervise NDE subcontractors.
• To review subcontractor’s documentation packages.
• To review radiographs (if qualified).
• To complete final project documentation in a timely manner by reviewing and approving weld summary sheets on a weekly basis.
• Individual risk awareness within job role.
• To complete SHE inspection check lists at sub-contractor locations.

Valid CSWIP 3.1
Experience of working on heavy construction and fabrication projects
