The Company:
The company designs, constructs, transports, installs and removes offshore facilities for the global oil and gas industry. During the last decades they have become a significant international player in the offshore oil and gas construction industry. The Group consists of two divisions, each with a specific role in the activities of the Group

The Role:
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager your primary function will be to carry out weld inspection and related activities in accordance with project specifications and national standards.

Key Responsibilities:

-Interpreting radiographic (RT) weld inspection reports on pipework for offshore use.
-Signing off quality and inspection reports (PCN Level 2).
-Liaising with clients and contractors.
-To ensure adherance to company policies and procedures.
-Quality, safety, health and environmental awareness.
-To perform tasks delegated by the Quality Control Manager.
-To maintain inspection and test status.
-To control the authorised system of documentation issued by the QA department.
-To identify and report possible problems to the Quality Control Manager and recommend possible solutions for such problems.
-To perform NDE co-ordination through the PC system.
-To supervise NDE subcontractors.
-To review subcontractors documentation packages.
-To review radiographs.
-To complete final project documentation in a timely manner by reviewing and approving weld summary sheets on a weekly basis.
-Individual risk awareness within job role.
-To complete SHE inspection check lists at sub contractor locations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-The ideal candidate must be qualified to CSWIP 3.1 and hold Radiographic Testing/Interpretation (RT) PCN Level 2 and be able to provide the relevant certificates.
-An understanding of Company Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental systems and programmes.
-A working knowledge of fabrication and isometric drawing.
-A working knowledge of national standards e.g. EEMUA 158, ASME IX.
-Coresys Production Control System.
-It is also essential that the candidate has post qualification experience working in structural, heavy or offshore engineering.
-Must have a valid driving license.
