The Company:
Our Client is one of the world's largest Oil and Gas companies. The Role:
•Act as focal point for all Construction Site Welding issues on behalf of the Project
•Review Contractor’s Weld Procedures, Welders’ Qualifications, and NDE protocols
•Review and comment on Contractors Weld and NDE Plans
•Monitor the welding activities for pipeline bundle fabrication. To include material and consumable suitability
•Ensure contractor adherence to the approved, Weld/NDE Specifications, procedures and intervention points on the Inspection and Test Plans
•Undertake Weld and NDE audits during production to ensure compliance to the agreed Weld/NDE specifications and procedures
•Monitor and report on the performance and progress of the Contractor and its subcontractors on a regular basis
•Effectively coordinate the Independent Competent Person (BV) verification activities related to the Welding processes,
•Attendance at project meetings
•Review of Contractors generated Welding/NDE documentation and records, and ensure the pipeline tracking system is maintained up-to-date with accurate information
•Ensure non conformances are raised by either by the agreed contractors procedure or the company system
•Operate as the Projects eyes and ears on site for Welding Operations
•Liaise with the Fabrication superintendent on a day to day basis providing feedback on contractor performance
•Manage the issue of outstanding Worklists/Punchlists.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Knowledge of the concerned engineering disciplines:-
•Relevant qualification in one of the above disciplines
•Significant welding supervisory experience (raising/reviewing procedures, specifications, technical reports, ) that must include Super duplex and lined pipe
•Considerable industrial experience overall with successful experience as a welding supervisor on bundle fabrication,
•Knowledge of the relevant industrial codes and standards as well as proactive familiarisation with the Total EP referential,
•Appropriate current Senior Welding Inspector qualification
