The Company:
Our client is a leading EPCM company who specialise in providing asset support solutions across Australia and South East Asia including engineering, operations, maintenance and upgrades of existing facilities both onshore and offshore.

The Role:
Our Client is looking for a QA Fabrication Welding Specialist to be the focal point for all technical based queries from subcontractors and suppliers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Drafting of Approved For Construction (AFC) ISO Piping and Structural Steel drawings
• Conduct offshore manual dimensional survey work and generate the associated AFC drawings
• Review the Customer specifications to ensure all technical aspects of contract are clear and understood.
• Liaise with the Customer on all quality, inspection and testing requirements.
• Provide a focal point for all technical based queries from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Provide support to the operations and maintenance team and subcontractors.
• Provide support to Discipline Engineers in the preparation of work packs, Inspection and Test Plans and associated method statements and work instructions.
• Provide support to the Discipline Engineers relating to welding technology and inspection.
• As requested review Requests for Quotation (RFQ), scopes of work and implementation work packs prior to issue for action.
• Ensure Customer quality requirements are adhered to and that company procedures are followed.
• Provide written reports on quality activities as required by the Contract Manager.
• Assess and monitor the competence of external providers to provide compliant products and/or services.
• Coordinate and/or undertake inspection activities and prepare inspection records in accordance with inspection and test plan or other agreed requirements.
• Facilitate the identification, reporting, investigation, disposition and follow-up of process or product non-conformance.
• Initiate and verify suitability of corrective or preventive action where required to eliminate existing or potential causes of non-conformance.
• Review CAJV and subcontractor Manufacturer’s Data Reports (MDR), close out reports and inspection verification records for compliance with agreed requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The QC Coordinator should have trade qualifications and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the offshore engineering, petrochemical and maintenance industries.
Have either WTIA Welding Inspector or International Institute of Welding Certificates.
