A major Oil and Gas Operator

The Role:
The Service holder is responsible, within the project FPSO team and under the Lower Turret QA/QC Superintendent supervision, for following-up, monitoring and supervising welding activities carried out by FPSO Contractor and Subcontractor at the GPC Yard in Abu Dhabi during the Construction and Pre-commissioning phases of the Lower turret part ensuring that his discipline’s contractual and technical requirements are duly applied by FPSO Contractor and/or Subcontractors.

In this respect, and to ascertain that the facilities are built as per the project requirements, the job holder, in the perimeter of his discipline, verifies and comments Contractor’s and/or Subcontractors’ drawings, fabrication procedures and methodologies, welding map and welding procedure, and ensure that Contractor and/or Subcontractors have adequate equipment, resources, means and manpower to performed the Service with the required quality level and to compete it in due time. He is also closely monitoring the storage and consumption of welding consumables

He reports on a day-to-day basis directly to his QA/QC superintendent.

The Service holder participates to routine and random inspections and audits, assists to daily / regular Construction meetings related to his discipline with FPSO Contractor and/or Subcontractors, performs QA/QC and/or HSE visits and tours as required... and ensures an adequate reporting to the QA/QC superintendent (areas of concerns, problems encountered in its discipline during construction and/or implementation by FPSO Contractor and/or Subcontractors).

Daily rate: 620 EUR net per day worked
Living allowance: 230 EUR net per day worked for accommodations and car

Base location: Middle East UAE Abu Dhabi – GPC Yard for lower turret fabrication..
Regime: Residential regime (5/6 Working days per week)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Professional Experience (years): min 10 years (Level 1) in welding activities
Experience in similar position (years): mini 7 in similar role or on Turret fabrication
Level / Diploma: Welding Engineer, or CSWIP3.2 equivalent
Languages: English mandatory

Structural techniques and experience
Construction Auditing techniques
Naval & Marine structures
FPSO constructions techniques
Knowledge of International codes relevant to his discipline
