The Company:
Our client are the leading UK independent oil operator in the North Sea with a dynamic management team and exciting growth plans to develop operations further in the UKCS. Working within a multi-disciplinary team and reporting directly to the Completions Planning Team Lead, you will be responsible for planning, supervising and supporting the execution of Company well completion, workover and abandonment activities, ensuring that they comply with all safety and technical standards while remaining

The Role:
• Deliver Completions, Workovers and abandonments on time and budget with no harm to personnel, assets or the environment
• Active participation, promotion and development of the Company Safety and Environment policies
• Lead the Completion/Workover peer reviews to satisfactory conclusion
• Prepare Completion/Workover Basis of Design
• Provide completion, workover and abandonment costs to the Drilling Engineer for AFE’s and continue to estimate prediction. Thereafter monitor costs though to end of job.
• Liaise with Subsurface and Facilities teams throughout the well delivery process to ensure company objectives are met.
• Create a required equipment list for each well and liaise with Company supply chain, subcontractors and vendors to meet requirements
• Identify equipment and manpower required to undertake the work programme and liaise with Supply Chain Coordinator to ensure all quotes are entered into CTX for processing prior to equipment and personnel being sent offshore
• Attend and contribute to well review and planning meetings
• Ensure the availability of the necessary statutory and regulatory consents and approvals in a timely manner for the completion and workover of all wells
• Prepare input to presentations for kick off meetings, peer reviews and management meetings.
• Communicate the operational needs of impending work within Company and the various vendors
• Champion the use of Landmark EDM software and ensure data entry is correct i.e. Openwells, Profile etc
• Preparation of SIMOPS procedures where appropriate
• Write completion and workover programs with sufficient detail to minimise management of change, HSE exposure to personnel and ensure rig operations are efficient.
• Coordinate and manage with third party vendors completion component make up and testing onshore to ensure fit for purpose.
• Instruct offshore personnel and contractors with regard to their respective roles. Ensure that all safety considerations are highlighted and understood
• Liaise with offshore supervisors in order to provide support in any areas required to ensure the successful and efficient completion of the operations
• Maintain excellent relations with all service providers and customers.
• Monitor contractor performance and hold quarterly performance reviews.
• Maintain Company well records including the approved Well Status Diagram.
• Work in compliance with the company’s Business Management System
• Manage all rental equipment requirements
• Coordinate preparation of SIMOPS procedures where appropriate
• Interface with Drilling Engineers throughout the well delivery process to ensure that Drilling and Completion programmes are compatible.
• Lead well risk assessment for Completions/Workovers with Service Companies and rig contractor personnel to prove Completion and Workover designs are operationally fit for purpose and efficient.
• Coordinate all Complete the Well on Paper (CWOP) activities prior to commencing operations.
• Ensure that wells worked over and intervened on are returned to production as efficiently as possible
• Provide assistance to the cost engineer during invoice receipt/checking.
• In conjunction with the drilling engineer ensure all Well Handover documents throughout the operations are accurate.
• Ensure that all offshore activities are properly documented and recorded in the OpenWells
• Ensure that completion lessons learned are properly documented and recorded in the Open Wells and LESSONSATLAS and that the lessons learned are distributed to other departments.
• Ensure compliance with Management of Change procedures
• Preparation of end of well reports and ensuring timely closeout of vendor end of well reports and after action reviews etc.
• Make at least 2 visits offshore per year to audit the working practices of the offshore crews
• If required, perform offshore completion/workover supervisor role during holiday periods etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Extensive experience in completions and Interventions. Some of which preferably with a major operator offshore as a Completions or Well Services Supervisor.
Desirable:
Knowledge of WellCAT, Wellplan and Prosper an advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
IWCF Certification, MIST Training, Offshore Survival, Current medical

Desirable:
Preferably an engineering qualification (HNC or Equivalent)
