The Company:
Our client is actively involved in numerous projects in upstream oil and gas industry in Vietnam. Our client is now in stage of development of discovered gas field Rong Doi and Rong Doi Tay. Commencing end of 2006, gas from this field is transporting onshore through subsea Nam Con Son pipeline and supplying Vietnamese gas consumers for over 23 years.

The Role:
The Well Interventions Engineer is accountable for the engineering activity covering planning, program generation and execution of well interventions operations within the wells team. The Well Interventions Engineer reports to the Well Interventions Engineering team leader.

Success here is dependant on leveraging the collective efforts of some of the most experienced technical experts in the world. Working with a multi-disciplinary team you will deliver intervention programs/ designs for oil and gas wells. The majority of your time will be spent in the office (HCMC), but will require travel of up to 15% to the field.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

* Plan and execute interventions with no harm to people and no harm to the environment.
* Ensure intervention programs, program amendments and dispensations to policy are prepared on schedule and are adequately risk assessed.
* Plan and schedule well intervention and well integrity activity including liaison with other disciplines.
* Develop detailed well servicing operational programs to deliver agreed objectives.
* Provide operational and technical support to onsite Well Intervention Site Leaders.
* Capture and share lessons learned with the wider Well interventions team.
* Intervention budget management
* Liaison with the various regulatory bodies and submission of statutory reports.
* Assure adequate third party Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
* Recommend and conduct engineering studies to improve operational performance.
* Ensure appropriate assurance and review of the well intervention and work plan.
* Provide coaching and mentoring to intervention engineers to ensure appropriate technical development.
* Establish day-to-day and longer term engineering priorities aligned with the business case.
* Communicate and incorporate lessons learned from incident reports and champions best practices and BtB common process.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A Bachelors or first degree in relevant engineering discipline.

* Strong, in-depth understanding of well intervention techniques and wellwork practices.
* A strong track record as a Completion or interventions Engineer for an operator or a major service provider.
* Experience in the areas of rig well intervention, coil tubing, slickline & electric line.
* Experience working with 3rd party service providers.
* Must be willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time.
