The Role:
Role Synopsis:

Despite being a mature province the North Sea is still one of most active areas with a strong future ahead. In addition to current activity levels is planning to start stimulation activities to unlock additional reserves through hydraulic and acid fracturing operations.

Bruce platform is one of the assets where this will be executed. Over 60 exploration, appraisal and development wells have been drilled in the Bruce Field and production is from two centres: the Bruce platform located in the east of the field, and the Western Area Development (WAD) sub-sea manifold.

The Bruce formation is divided into two main intervals, Lower Bruce which is considered conventional and has been producing since field start up, and Upper Bruce that is tight and considered unconventional. A multiple well proppant and acid frac campaign has been identified which will provide access to the Upper Bruce reservoir.

The Well Intervention Engineer will be accountable for managing all aspects of project delivery including integration across internal Functional stakeholders and external Service product lines.

The Well Intervention Engineer will report to the Well Superintendent - Interventions.

Key Accountabilities:

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
* Plan and execute well interventions that are compliant with policy, HSE and Regulatory requirements.
* Ensure all project risks are understood and rigorously managed in accordance with applicable Risk Management processes.
* Ensure costs and performance delivery is managed in accordance with all applicable business processes etc.
* Work with Service provider to deliver the activity in line with safety and business processes and engineering practices.
* Develop a fully integrated Project delivery plan and delivery on this for the required activity set.
* Develop detailed well Intervention operational programs which will deliver agreed objectives.
* Provide operational and technical support to on-site Intervention Well Site Leaders and Operations teams during project execution phase.
* Ensure appropriate assurance and technical oversight review of the well intervention and work plan.
* Capture and share lessons learned with the wider Well interventions community.
* Communicate and incorporate lessons learned and champion best practices.


Essential Experience and Job Requirements:

* Strong, in-depth understanding of well intervention techniques and wellwork practices with emphasis on hydraulic fracturing and acid stimulation operations.
* Experience in the areas of coil tubing, wire line and surface well testing/clean-up operations.
* A strong track record of delivery as an Interventions Engineer for an operator or a major service provider.
* Experience in managing large projects which require multidisciplinary input and cross functional integration.
* Extensive experience working with and managing third party service providers
