The Company:
The Client has a unique position in the UK energy sector with 60 years of energy sector experience and in the last 10 years has built a strong business resulting in a strong presence re the UK's energy needs.

The Role:
Provide strategy and direction on Well Performance and Integrity issues and ensure that all activities performed in this position comply with our obligations in the Safety Case and the Company standards.

Ensure communications are maintained between the Production Group and the Reservoir Engineering team to ensure maximum value is extracted from the reservoirs.

Provide support to Production Operations for day to day well performance and integrity issues.

Ensure that the integrity of the well is managed in compliance with Company policy and procedures.

Manage the wellhead maintenance, well integrity and well performance budgets such that well integrity is maintained and production is maintained at optimum levels.

Liase directly with Production Operations to ensure that wells and available lift gas are used optimally.

Advise Production Operations of well test requirements and priorities to ensure adequate information is available to optimise productivity for the medium and long-term reservoir performance strategies.

Recommend and design well treatments to maintain or improve well productivity and mechanical integrity.

Advise on injection and production well operating strategy so as to optimise short and long-term production.

Advise on artificial lift requirements and, in conjunction with Well Construction, provide completion design accordingly.

Ensure that Technical Authority is exercised in accordance with internal requirements, applicable regulation and best industry practise.

Assess the impact of new legislation on wells.

Prepare reports and short term forecasts for use internally and to meet the requirements of co-ventures, the DTI and the HSE.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Preferably an engineering degree
Experience in well design / verification with a major wellhead supplier.
