The Role:
The HWO (Hydraulic Work Over Unit) Well Site Leader Interventions (“HWO WSLI”) role shall provide well site supervision for all well interventions activities during the HWO activities which may include pumping, surface wellhead, slickline, braided wire, coiled tubing, well test, workover and completion and abandonment operations. They are to ensure the objectives are delivered safely, cost effectively, without damage to the environment and in full compliance with the client’s applicable Policies and Procedures as specified by COMPANY’S Well Intervention Manager. COMPANY shall provide the applicable Policies and Procedures to the HWO WSLI.
The HWO WSLI is responsible for delivery to the OIM on platforms for all non-rig operations, the WSL for rig operations support and functionally to the WITL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all safety & well control during intervention operations on the platform.

• First calls:
o In the event of an issue with the well or program, the HWO IWSL contacts the onshore engineer.
o In the event of an issue with equipment or service company personnel, the IWSL contacts the Interventions WTL.
o In the event of an emergency, then normal response protocol occurs through the OIM.

• Focal point for all service companies involved in intervention operation. All service company personnel will report on a regular basis to the HWO IWSL on operational progress, and to highlight any foreseeable problems both operational and logistical.

• Responsible to ensure all equipment required for the intervention is on location and certified and in good working condition.

• Responsible for ensuring all personnel involved in task under his supervision are competent to carry out the work.

• Responsible for ensuring work permits are submitted 24hours before the planned operation. (Service Company Supervisor is the PA).

• Responsible for confirming that all work permits are in place and adhered to. Responsible for ensuring appropriate control measures have been implemented and monitored for the duration of the job.

• Liaise with OTL regarding the interface with production department for well handover (including ICC documentation), flowing & shutting in well during logging runs, de-pressuring lines, etc.

• Responsible to verify with OTL the status of well instrumentation to confirm its reliability.

• Liaise with OTL regarding concurrent operations, crane use, etc

• Responsible to lead toolbox talks before each operation & at crew changes.

• Responsible for ensuring intervention is carried out as per signed program.

• Prepare Open Wells report and distribute daily. Ensure that all fields are completed and accurate. Capture & record lessons learned and red-line programs for inclusion in the post job review.

• Ensure participation in STOP.
• Responsible to ensure that all barriers are in place for breaking containment after the initial handover and between runs per the well entry/exit procedure.

• Report downhole barrier test results for approval by the Interventions WTL as per the GP10-45 interim guidance document.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

• Has current accredited Well Control certification (IWCF or IADC).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Effectively manages cost on intervention and completion activities to deliver well project value.
• Effectively manages logistics to deliver offshore operations on schedule.
• Champions continuous improvement by capturing learnings and sharing of best practices.
• Ability to lead incident investigations and document findings.
• Interacts frequently with other Operations Leaders to manage Simultaneous operations.
• Effectively manages team performance to achieve desired results.
