The Company:
Fircroft has been engaged by one of our key clients, a global oil & gas explorer and producer, to assist in building their team capability in CSG well engineering. Firmly established in the industry, the company conveys a high level of importance on safety and the environment, an attribute that must be emphasised through key, third party supervisory roles, such as this.

The Role:
Reporting to the Well Services Manager, this position will liaise closely with the Superintendent and Engineers whilst maintaining responsibility for the supervision of well completions, workovers and wellsite intervention activities. Ensuring that contractors are delivering work in compliance with relevant gas production and safety regulations and legislation, you will drive results from an owners perspective, emphasising the service providers need to deliver safe, efficient projects to budget and established plans. As a field based position, the Wellsite Supervisor will work a 2:2 week rotation to site, in the Surat Basin, living in camp accommodation whilst on roster.

Key accountabilities include:
• Manage and monitor daily workover and completion operations to ensure that all operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner
• Implement performance improvement measures on the rig and minimise non-productive rig time
• Monitor performance, costs, and technical integrity of contractors and service providers
• Ensure full well planning is performed in a timely manner to meet requirements of the company well planning process
• Provide technical advice and troubleshooting for well planning, design and operation issue
• Daily testing, monitoring, and inspections of equipment and process compliance
• Sign-off contractor daily tickets, service company tickets, material delivery tickets, confirming that the tickets are accurate and in line with the contract under which the services or materials are supplied
• Ensure equipment logistics are organized as required for wellsite operation
• Ensure the correct tools for the job and they have been serviced or are of good quality. Do not allow the use of inferior equipment
• Provide quality control over equipment and materials utilized in the well.
• Prepare non-conformance reports (NCR’s) for any Contractors operational or equipment issues to allow formal tracking and close out
• Ensure deficiency items on rig inspections are followed up on and passed on at changeover’s
• Ensure a close working relationship with 3rd party services
• Ensure all 3rd party services are onboard with adequate resources (people and equipment) to meet the scheduled requirements
• Ensure that all Well and operation information is captured in the daily reports (Wellview) .
• Accurate and detailed cost tracking within Wellview
• Display exemplary HSSE behaviours and drive the same behaviour from all personnel involved in their area of the Business

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Strong and existing exposure to coal seam gas completions, workovers, well servicing and design at a supervisory level
• Proven experience within safety management systems
• Sound technical knowledge, particularly relating to well construction, pressure control, service rigs, artificial lift systems, wellhead systems etc.
• Ability to provide technical advice and problem-solving
• Experience managing third-party contractors and small internal teams to strict performance outcomes
• Working knowledge of relevant petroleum acts and regulations
