The Role:
The Wells Standards & Practices Engineer will ensure that appropriate technical standards are available so that wellstock is safe and compliant throughout its lifecycle.

•Take the lead in the roll out of new standards, practices and legislation including providing training, developing assurance system that wells people understand the new documents and providing support as required.
•Document relevant technical standards and legislation, provide advice on same and review new documents to identify gaps, recommends actions and implement as necessary.
•Ensure relevant standards and procedures form part of the North Sea Wells Local Operating Management System (LOMS).
•Participate in relevant networks and Community of Practices (COPs).
•Provide input to the contractors Safety Management System (SMS) interface documents on standards, practices and procedures.
•Support the work of the Functional team as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Engineering or science degree or eligibility for Chartered Engineer.
• Experience in application of well engineering and operations standards and practices.
• Strong communication (both oral and written) and organisational skills.
