The Company:
Our Client is a global Exploration & Production company focused on the increase of production and reserves, the geographic diversification of activity with increased presence in OECD countries, operational excellence and maximising the profitability of assets.

The Role:
Testing engineer acting as a lead well test engineer during the planning phase and acting as a day well test supervisor (well test leader) during the testing operations.

Well test aspect: Assist and coordinate with the “Angola drilling team” the preparation and supervision of the well test operations.

Well Testing:

• Will organise the well test tendering process, will evaluate bids and will participate in the evaluation exercise.
• Will lead the preparation of the Well Test Programs in conjunction with the related Contractors and the EAA Testing and Completion Leader for the TWOP exercise.
• Will lead the TWOPs.
• Will organise and participate all specific HAZIDs and HAZOPS.
• Will lead and prepare all documentation for the Repsol Technical Reviews (internal quality control).
• Will incorporate all comments and corrections to the programs derived from the TWOPs and will re-issue them.
• Will lead the preparation and distribute copies of the Programs, as per distribution list.
• Will prepare Budgets and will monitor the incurred Well Test costs.
• Will supervise the “well testing” operations as day well test supervisor on board Rig during the operational phase.
• Will also supervise the “wireline and/or CT-N2-stimulation” operations, should they take place.
• Will be the person in charge of submitting the daily Testing/Completion reports from the Rig to office in Luanda.
• In conjunction with the Logistics Superintendent will help to coordinate all Well Test equipment (at receival and at dispatching) with regards to “equipment logistics”
• Will provide inputs on the costs involved in each operation and will check and sign Contractors’ job logs (field tickets) for future invoicing.
• Will fill out the “Condor” forms to evaluate degree of Contractors’ satisfaction.
• Ensure that all well testing work is adequately documented and lessons learned captured for application in future operations.
• Will travel to Rig, wherever located, prior commencement of operations for planning purposes.
• Will assist rest of Angola Drilling team in Contract negotiations for non-tendered services and equipment.
• Will assist in the resolution of Contractor/s disputes, if required.
• Will prepare and gather all the documentation necessary to produce the “End of Well reports”.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in well testing operations in floating vessels.
• Completion operations experience will be welcome as well.
• Experience in pre-salt formations.
• Experience in West Africa well test operations.
• UKOOA medical certification or similar.
• BOSIET certificate.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to establish good working relationships with the Angola drilling team such as:
o Leadership skills.
o Team integration skills.
o High initiative skills.
o Improvement skills.
• Ability to write and implement testing procedures and risk analysis.
• IT literacy and industry software proficiency. In particular, familiar with production softwares such as Prosper (nodal analysis), Wellcat (tubing stress analysis), etc.
