The Company:
Our client a major international oil and gas operator seeks a wellhead planner to join their team. As a Procurement professional, the Wellhead Planner should leverage both technical and commercial commodity knowledge to 1) liaison with 20+ Drill Teams, local Affiliate Procurement groups, QA/QC & Technical functions, and Suppliers, 2) develop global forecasts for wellhead equipment, 3) develop tools for tracking and expediting outstanding Orders and 4) track all outstanding orders through partic

The Role:
The Wellhead Planner will have overall responsibility for developing global forecasts as well as tracking and expediting outstanding orders for subsea and surface wellhead equipment for the client’s global business.

Responsibilities & duties include:
1.Gain alignment with global Drill Teams on wellhead procurement needs, objectives and requirements
•Working with multiple Drill Teams to seek input, consolidate, and develop a forecast of global wellhead requirements
•Provide forecast requirements to Category Specialist and associated Procurement Associates to determine opportunities for scale / leverage, aid development of Category Plans, and influence personnel/resourcing requirements

2.Tool Development
•Leverage wellhead commodity knowledge to develop appropriate tools for:
•Global forecasting
•Global inventory tracking and allocation
•Order expediting

3.Order tracking and expediting
•Coordinate regular meetings with primary Suppliers, Drill Teams, and QA/QC functions to track manufacturing progress on outstanding wellhead orders
•Steward action items from regular meetings and engage appropriate resources accordginly to alleviate process bottlenecks and ensure order progress is maintained
•Escalate issues as needed through internal and external Supplier Management
•Coordinate and re-prioritize orders to correlate with changes to Drilling schedules

4.Inventory Management
•Track existing internal inventory for multiple operating Affiliates
•Track allocation of current/future inventory across Drill Teams where multiple teams may leverage the same central inventory accounts

5.Supplier Relationship Management
•Develop strong working relationship with key personnel at primary Wellhead Suppliers

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•5 years of Procurement, Sales or other Commercial experience
•Intermediate to Expert technical knowledge on wellhead systems and manufacturing processes
•Intermediate technical knowledge on industry standards / specifications
•Materials Management Experience including Planning, Control, Issuing, and Reconciliation
•Strong analytical, leadership, negotiation and communication skills
•BA/BS Preferred; demonstrated industry experience may substitute in lieu of degree
•Must be a self-starter and able to work in a virtual organization
