The Company:
Our Client has been involved in Angola since the 1970s. They have built a strong foundation for long term growth through both exploration and development success and they hold a strong position in nine major deepwater licenses.

The Role:
Our leading client is currently seeking a Wells Document Management Lead working on a rotational basis (28/28) in Luanda, Angola.

Job synopsis: Review and develop recommendation for document management in Angola wells, manage team, implement document control rigours, within framework of existing sharepoint software tool.

The Role :
The Angola Wells Document Management Lead will report to the Wells Functional Performance Manager
The role is a 28 day rotation basis (back to back).
The position will directly supervise a document control team in Luanda, Angola and also a team member in UK
A key aspect of the role is the training, mentoring and development of the local staff in document management techniques.

Responsible for the delivery of :
•Review existing document management system and process, evaluate and make strategic recommendations
•Develop implementation plan for resolution of document management recommendation.
•Project manage the delivery of implementation.
•Liaise with Global wells organization on regional implementation of new standard software tool mid 2014
•Deploy sound document control techniques and provide supervision and guidance to local team.
•Registration, issue and distribution of technical documentation to internal and external parties, ensuring timely turnaround of documentation.
•Maintenance of hard copy master technical files.
•Expediting of overdue ‘Issued for Review’ documentation. & expediting sign off.
•Preparation and distribution of weekly Document Deliverables Registers, Overdue IDC reports and ad hoc exception reports, as required, to internal and external parties
•Liaison with Angola wells OMS (Operations management system) team to provide hyperlinks for control documents.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualified extremely desirable.
Thorough knowledge of document management techniques, capable of strategic recommendation.
Energy and enthusiasm
Wells experience desirable but not necessary.
