The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
The scope of work will include, but not be limited to the daily reporting of all geological data particularly mudlogging, coring, LWD and wellbore stability and to ensuring that the SoR and well programs are adhered to throughout the drilling process with specific reference to the following:
•Work in a multi-disciplined offshore team contributing to the safe delivery of new wells and that all relevant data is collected.
•Full understanding of pore pressure and fracture gradient estimates and communication of any deviation from prognosed to the wellsite drilling team and operations geologist.
•Review of all drilling risks prior to each hole section and effectively communicating these to the drilling team at the wellsite. ‘No Drilling Surprises’ is a key driver in our operations.
•Populate the Wellsite Data Book with significant operational events and any associated NPT.
•Specific experience is required in understanding borehole instability issues and the collation of all geologically related data including hydrocarbon shows.
•Capture Lessons Learnt in Wellsite Data Book
•Supervision and quality assurance of all LWD and Wireline Services.
•Provide full training and mentoring of less experienced geologists.
•Ensure that all real-time subsurface data is available to all authorised parties.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
High standard of English.
•Bachelors degree in geoscience.
•Self-starter who is able to work independently.
•Effective communication skills.
•Familiarity with geological software packages would be an advantage.
•7-10 years wellsite geology experience
•3-5 years mudlogging experience preferably in international locations on a range of well types (ERD, Horizontal, Depleted Reservoirs, HPHT).
