Our client is a leading in Renewable Energy of Thailand

The Role:
The Wind Turbine Engineer is responsible for evaluating and assisting with warranty related turbine performance on existing projects and compliance with contracts; compilation of documentation and stakeholder sign-off for new turbine procurement and operational agreements. The Wind Turbine Engineer will be required to participate in Operations and vendor meetings, coordinate with vendors, and perform field inspection duties when required. The position requires a willingness to accept autonomy and responsibility with clear thinking and problem solving that must give the highest consideration to the health and safety and work practices of electrical engineering projects. Due to the nature of the wind projects, this position will require a varying amount of travel (approx. 50%) at times within Thailand meet business goals and objectives

• Development Phase:
- Primary WEH technical representative with WTG Supplier
- Interface for coordination of WTG Supplier related to technical specifications
- Coordinate performance specification preparation, e.g. power curve, availability, site suitability, wake sector management
- Assist in the development of contracts with WTG Supplier
• Construction Phase:
- Primary WEH technical representative with WTG Supplier
- Coordinate and approve equipment factory tests, deliveries, commissioning activities with WTG Supplier and Construction Department
- Supervise handover process and warranty performance obligations
• Operations Phase
- Primary WEH technical representative with WTG Supplier
- Manage any handover residual issues
- Implement and supervise any necessary performance tests.
- Review and approve operations and maintenance programs.
- Assemble and track warranty related turbine performance issues
- Responsible for engineering evaluation of operational data.
- Manage engineering support for Root Cause Analysis, Availability Analysis, operational improvement projects.
- Assist local operations with the creation and administration of budgets related to turbine operations and maintenance
- Assist Finance, Development, Engineering and Construction departments with the creation and administration of budgets related to turbine procurement, delivery, installation, commissioning, operations and maintenance
- Coordinate / provide technical and familiarization training for company personnel within service territory to maintain / enhance technical skill sets of local operations.
- Travel, including overnight, as required to sites and offices.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A minimum of a BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the design, configuration, installation, maintenance, procurement aspects of wind farms or other renewable energy projects.
• Basic computer skills required, i.e. MS Office programs.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be detail oriented in English.
• Able to climb ladders and rappel off of towers up to 120m in height.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
