The Company:
Our client is a leading Global Oil and Gas Operating Company.

The Role:
Role Synopsis
• Responsible for the detail engineering, field implementation, cutover and commissioning of the WOA SCADA project in GPB.
• Responsible for the Contractor HSSE performance during execution.
• Responsible for all system integration and management of resources for execution.
• Responsible for managing relationships with the project team, contractors, operations etc by promoting a mote the one team concept. Look for teambuilding opportunities. Spend at least 70% of your time in the contractor’s offices.
• Ensure the engineering contractor gets client input in a timely manner. Ensure this information is well documented and communicated. Attend contractor meetings as requested.
• Promote and be a champion of standardization both in design and process
• Provide the AF&G Define/Execute Manager with weekly updates and informed of key issues/concerns.
• Maintain a level three schedule and know the critical path, near and long term deliverables and key milestone dates. Be able to speak to progress, productivity areas of concern and message upward as required.
• Identify and manage Risk by developing a mitigation plan and report all high consequence risk to AF/G Program Manager.
• Responsible to identify all interfaces and to ensure they are incorporated into the design and managed respectively
Key Accountabilities
• Ensure a successful delivery to Company HSSE requirements which promotes the right safety culture and behaviors.
• Ensure Inherit Safe Design is carried out and maintain project focus to the project business objectives and driver.
• Ensure delivery to scope, schedule and budget of the AF&G Define/Execute projects.
• Ensure project meetings are focused on critical path activities and hold people accountable for delivering on time.
• Ensure the WIP and LE reflect the current project status
• Ensure that monthly dashboards are updated and accurately reflect the project status
• Properly Manage Company input into the project design. This includes Northern Tier, Technical Authorities, Engineering, Operations and maintenance.
• Ensure that all the right people are included in meetings and decision making.
• Expedite the internal Company technical approval process.
• Manage the scope of the project and adhere to the management change process and ensure changes are approved by the appropriate approver
• Eliminate the number of surprises in the field by ensuring early operations buy-in. Conduct slope visits at least once a month to review job status and meet with client.
• Engage all other project or program personnel to ensure continuity of project with program strategy.
• Ensure all the deliverables for the assurance process are planned and accountable people working them. These should also be reflected on the engineering schedule level 3 or 4.
• Document key decisions or direction with Project Notes.
• Interface with NS Construction team on execution delivery.
Travel % required 25-40% in Engineering office and remainder at North Slope facilities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential Education
• Controls/Instrument Engineering Degree. Demonstrated performance in effective application of MPcP. Excellent written, verbal communication skills. Ability to focus on HSSE, quality, cost, schedule and operability. Must have a strong understanding of project execution in a Brownfield environment. Must be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity.

Essential Experience and Job Requirements
• 10 to 15 years of Project Engineering Experience
• 10 years Project Leadership Experience
• 10 years of Experience interaction with Operations clients for alignment on Brownfield Projects

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Desirable criteria & qualifications
(Qualifications that are good to have but not mandatory) • Project Management Experience
• Knowledge in Automation Control Systems, SCADA, DCS, Production Accounting (Metering)Instrumentation/Electrical Discipline Engineering Experience
• Execution delivery of major Brownfield projects
