The Company:
Our client is a global operator in the oil and gas sector.

The Role:
Workover Operations Coach / Mentor shall:
• Coach and mentor the Iraqi workover engineering and operations staff,
1 Coach and mentor ROO workover site witnesses
2 Wellsite location reviews prior to Workover units moving to identify structural integrity issues or other problems before work commences,

Optimize the following workover activities:
• Well killing operations,
1 fishing operations,
2 milling fluid design and milling operations,
3 safe tripping practices
4 lost circulation procedures,
5 ESP pulling procedures,
6 ESP running procedures,
7 well control practices,
8 equipment and materials logistics flow to support the operations,
9 wellhead and tree integrity
• Recommend changes on workover schedule to optimize logistics, get the right rig on the right well, etc.
1 Review all programs where fishing operations are required,
2 Develop decision trees for complex operations to clearly map out options,
3 Ensure workover operations are following well control practices,
4 Ensure lessons learned are incorporated into all programs and operations,
5 Drive a safety and performance culture at the wellsite,
6 Review WETS results with team to optimize workover efforts
7 Regularly conduct equipment, practices and HSSE audits of workover unit operations and key supporting services

Participate as required in:
• Workover schedule meetings,
1 Workover incident investigations,
2 Equipment failure analysis reviews,
3 Performance meetings,
4 Safety meetings while at locations
5 Quarterly performance reviews

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• BS Engineering preferred,
• 20+ years relevant oilfield experience,
• Minimum 10 years wellwork experience,
• Well control certified

Advanced knowledge in the following:
• Workover rig equipment,
• Workover well control,
• Workover optimizaton,
• Well killing,
• Water shutoff operations,
• ESP installations

NOTE: Personnel with primarily rigless intervention activities are not desired for this position.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
o Land workover experience required.
o International experience required outside of home country,
o Middle East experience preferred.
o Team player
