The Company:
The company designs, constructs, transports, installs and removes offshore facilities for the global oil and gas industry. During the last decades they have become a significant international player in the offshore oil and gas construction industry. The Group consists of two divisions, each with a specific role in the activities of the Group

The Role:
Function: To provide shop floor link between shop floor supervision and production support personnel

Responsibilities:

• Adherence to company policy and procedures.
• Quality, safety, health and environmental awareness (e.g. responsible for own and others safety).
• Individual risk awareness within job role.
• To perform tasks as delegated by the construction manager.
• To perform tasks that may be requested by management, from time to time.
• Receive work packs issued by the production support function, and undertake initial check to ensure all information is correct prior to issue.
• Issue work packs prepared by production support to shop floor supervision under site supervisor instruction, and maintain and control records.
• Together with production planner and site supervisor, apply priorities to work packs required by the shop floor.
• Return completed work packs to production support.
• To liaise with production supervisors concerning fabrication activities and where necessary request production support to issue additional work packs for assembly.
• Notify production support personnel of work packs that need to be revised to suit modified requirements or revised shop floor activities.
• To identify and report potential problems to the production support co-ordinator and construction manager, and where possible recommend solutions for such issues.
• Attend meetings as requested.
• To assist in the control of engineering documents i.e. drawing control and distribution, and work pack distribution.
• Advise on progress of each work pack issued to the shop floor, and each week provide assistance to the production support function in maintaining overall project progress reports for issue to relevant parties.
