The Role:
To perform in a professional, safe and diligent manner according to company policy’s & procedures, the execution of all forklift operations, receipt and delivery of goods, including, job preparation and mobilisation of equipment to client site and yard house keeping.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Operational

• Perform company operations in a safe and controlled manner as per company's Just Rules, STOP & TRAC policy’s to ensure the safety of yourself, colleagues and associated personnel whilst doing so.
• Plan and execute all forklift related activity to ensure all loads are properly secured and do not interfere with the drivers vision, unless a banksman/flagman is used and they do not exceed the equipment’s design specification.
• Ensure assets, job numbers etc., are correctly allocated in line with job requirements.
• Ensure all equipment requested is located and prepared for operational jobs in line with load out requirements.
• Ensure all goods receipt and despatch notes are completed accurately in line with procedures and forwarded at the earliest opportunity.
• Ensure house-keeping is maintained to the highest standard to improve efficiency and safety at all times.
• Working as part of the onshore support team to identify areas for improvement etc. within company base activities
• Ensure all equipment is stored in designated areas of the yard.
• Ensure all goods movement through the yard is recorded accurately to enable tracking and ensure the control of costs.
• Ensure that all client owned equipment is identified, checked against the delivery notes & the relevant chargehand, engineer and logistics controller is informed of its arrival.
• Ensure that all status labels are being used correctly.
• Ensure that all third party equipment is checked against the returns note prior to delivery back to the vendor.
• Chair the Yard Tool box talk in the absence of the Yard Coordinator and ensure that all members of the team have attended & encourage participation. Record all file all TBT forms.
• Ensure all company equipment prepared for mobilisation is checked against QSF045 Pre Dispatch Check List and signed off accordingly.
Maintenance

• Ensure the necessary equipment maintenance checks are carried out daily as per company procedures and health & safety guidelines. Report all defects immediately to your line manager.
• Ensure that all company equipment has a clean and tidy appearance in order to give the correct impression to the client.

Technical

• Have suitable knowledge of company’s equipment and range of services and their application within the industry in order to ensure equipment is suitable for the required operation.

Reporting

• Work effectively with other members of staff to ensure a harmonious working environment.
• Perform other duties which may be required as directed by your Manager or his deputy.
• Report any possible opportunities that may result in obtaining additional work and revenue for company.
• Advise the Materials Co-ordinator immediately on receipt of both company and client equipment.
• Liaise with Materials Co-ordinator, Workshop Charge Hand and Certification Engineer to ensure all operational jobs are adequately prepared and in line with client requirements, and mobilised in a timely manner.
• All job relevant paperwork and reports to be completed and produced in a timely manner and handed in within 24 Hrs.
• All meetings must be minuted on Minutes of Meetings and distributed accordingly for records.

Presentation

• Ensure that at all times whilst in the workplace you are a representative of company and the correct image and impression must be given to clients and fellow contractors.

HSEQ

• Take personal responsibility for HSE by focusing on your own behaviours as well as those around you.
• Ensure all forklift operations are performed in accordance with company defined rules & procedures.
• Participation in the Safety Observation Programme is mandatory
• Attend all HSEQ meetings.
• Adhere to all HSE & security signs
• Correctly use and maintain PPE appropriate for the job.
• Ensure all incidents/accidents are immediately reported and the relevant paperwork completed, and assist with any investigations to determine findings & lessons learned.
• Ensure all environmental procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Ensure all applicable quality and operational procedures as identified in company manuals are adhered to at all times.
• Ensure all functions are performed in accordance with company safety and environmental procedures, ensuring all risks have been systematically assessed.
• The use of mobile phones/radios whilst driving is prohibited.
• Ensure all company and Client equipment is suitably secured prior to leaving site as per company policy’s & procedures.

Training
• Ensure documented feedback is submitted to the Training Dept of all courses/seminars attended, to enable follow-up.
