The Company:
an Engineering Procurement and Construction Company is seeking a yard Lead Engineer

The Role:
• To lead and coordinate engineering resources so as to ensure the safe, effective and successful implementation and delivery of engineering projects, and to oversee the adoption of corporate work processes, systems and standards.
• To promote a culture of safety, quality and pride in the work undertaken, and to encourage staff to take ownership and responsibility for their work.
• To ensure adoption of Company's values and leadership approach.
• To participate in the strategic planning and growth of the Company.
• To establish and manage a group of qualified discipline engineers and designers, in consultation with the Chief Discipline Engineers to fit business needs and to manage the forward load to suit project requirements.
• To facilitate the effective application of Company Engineering systems, procedures and standards by the Lead Engineers and their discipline staff.
• To facilitate technical leadership and guidance through liaison with Chief Discipline Engineers and local expertise.
• To participate in marketing activities by assisting with the preparation of proposals and by supporting Business Development Group to secure on going work.
• To plan, co-ordinate and control the execution of specific studies and projects.
• To develop solutions to engineering problems that meet or exceed Client requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum of 15 years in the Oil & Gas or Petro-Chemical industry.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in directing engineering design task forces including a period in a consulting or project management environment.
• High level supervisory, communication, motivational and organisational skills.
• Engineering Degree/Diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Knowledge of industry Codes and Standards (including API, ASME, NACE)
• Knowledge of Certifying Authority and Classification Society requirements
• Desirable to have experience with installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning, and the testing of equipment and installations.
• Significant experience in Engineering Contractor organisation(s) delivering EPC/EPCM oil and gas projects.
