Fircroft’s recruitment services in Europe span across all major technical sectors.
This region is host to a wide variety of engineering roles. The energy sector is a huge employer of technical staff, although Europe is a major producer of Oil and Gas it still imports over 55% of its resource to match demand. As a result there is a large volume of jobs within the oil and gas projects in the region, as well as work on the pipelines and refining plants needed to assist with importing these resources. To try and cut reliance on imported energy sources, European countries are also investing heavily in alternative power sources, including both nuclear and renewables. This has lead to an increase in demand for experienced staff to work on these projects.
Europe has also seen an increase in engineering projects due to demand from other regions. This trend has had a significant impact specifically in the automotive sector, where growing numbers of high net worth individuals in countries such as China and India are increasingly turning to British and European marques to travel in. To match this demand, automotive manufacturers have had to step up production and in turn require more skilled personnel.
