Last week, members of staff from the Fircroft Aberdeen office completed a 20 mile charity walk to raise money for Scottish charity SensationAll.
The team successfully took on the 20 mile hike from Aberdeen to Banchory on 7 September raising £2884, with all participants making it to the finish line. It is expected that the total funds raised will surpass £3000 after post-event donations are included.
SensationAll provides therapeutic multi-sensory facilities, therapies and activities to children and young adults with multiple support needs. With the money raised by Fircroft, SensationAll plans to buy a hoist to improve access to their services and also hopes to extend its soft play area.
Mike King, Regional Manager of Fircroft Aberdeen, said: “I would like to congratulate the eight members of staff who successfully completed the walk. They have done fantastically well to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause and I would also like to extend my thanks to Fircroft staff across our offices for their kind generosity and support.”
Charity is firmly at the centre of Fircroft’s values and this recent philanthropic endeavour comes after a string of charitable successes, including various fundraising activities for Comic Relief
and recent donations to several charities around the world
amounting to £20,000.
