We are pleased to announce that the third annual Fircroft Charity Golf Day, which took place on September 12th in the Netherlands, raised over €10,200 for the Make a Wish Foundation.
The purpose of the Make a Wish
Foundation is to grant the wishes of children who are suffering from life-threatening medical conditions and enrich their lives with hope, strength and joy.
Both national and international guests took part in the Fircroft Charity Golf Day, with Country Manager Michiel Merkus representing the Netherlands. At the end of the day all the scores were tallied and the winners announced, followed by the traditional prize giving. The overall winner of the tournament was Koos van Dijk of Offshore Construction Consultancy, and winner of the clinic was Herman Belkom from BECC. One raffle prize was a €250 cheque from PinHigh Travel, which also went to Koos van Dijk.
Following the awards ceremony and the raffle, the day ended with a donation of €10,278 to the Make a Wish Netherlands Foundation. Michiel Merkus said: "By organising the annual charity golf event, Fircroft fulfils its objectives in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). We have raised a fantastic amount for Make a Wish this year, and judging by the responses of partners and participants, next year will be even bigger and better!"
