Fircroft Perth volunteers 28 hours to Princess Margaret Hospital Charity Abseil

Five staff from Fircroft Perth volunteered their Friday and Saturday last week to offer support to the brave participants who abseiled down the QV1 building in Perth raising money for Princess Margaret Hospital for children.

Tanya, Casey, Orla, Natasha and Paula donated a total of 28 hours of their time to support at the event which ran from Thursday 5th May to Saturday 7th May.  A total of 350 volunteers descended the 40 storey, 160 metre drop down the QV1 building on St Georges Terrace.  Many who took part dressed as their favourite superhero in recognition of the 190 children a day receiving care at Princess Margaret Hospital.

The courage from those that participated and the generous contributions from all that donated saw the event raise in excess of $429,000 towards the PMH Foundation. Second to Government funding PMH Foundation is a main source of funding for the hospital and this event further contributes to the staggering $60 million raised by the foundation since its inauguration.
