Fircroft is pleased to announce we have appointed oil and gas industry recruitment specialist Michaella Rogers as our new Country Director for Australia.

As one of the world’s leading engineering and technical recruitment agencies, this key position will help to further shape and cement Fircroft’s growing presence in the Australian oil and gas industry.

Board Director and Head of Asia Pacific, Dhiren Shantilal, said Michaella’s appointment is an excellent move for Fircroft. “Michaella comes to us with a 20 year history in recruitment, half of which has been as a specialist recruiter for the resource sector. Whilst she has a detailed an intimate knowledge of the local market and the resource sector, she also has a global understanding of the industry and the issues, which is absolutely critical for this role,” he said.

Originally from the UK, Michaella began her recruitment career in London in the early 1990s specialising mostly in financial and professional sectors. She transferred to Australia a decade ago, and has built a strong network and shaped her expertise in the resources sector. Michaella’s knowledge focuses particularly on the oil and gas industry, which she has focused solely on for the past two years.

The appointment is a professional high point for Michaella: “Fircroft is a very successful specialist recruitment company, with an enormous international network and outstanding reputation. To have the opportunity to work with them is extremely exciting. What has always struck me about the organisation is how good they have been at understanding the market, the demand within the sector and being able to adjust services accordingly.”

Michaella is enjoying the challenges of her new role and is looking forward to what lies ahead in 2015. “I am thrilled to join Fircroft at this exciting time and I look forward to working with our clients to connect them with the right people.”
