Despite being in its infancy, Fircroft’s Women in HR Forum has already gained momentum with more and more HR professionals wanting to be a part of the community.
Following the success of Fircroft’s series of Women in HR events in both Eastern and Western Australia, Michaella Rogers, Fircroft’s Regional Director for Australia, Singapore and PNG, took the Forum to the international stage, with the first ever Asian event held in Singapore in February.
At the event, located at Lewin Terrace in the heart of Singapore, Michaella shared statistics on female representation in the workplace, discussing the disparity that currently exists, inhibitors to progress and the economic benefits that can be gained from women in management positions.
The end of the event saw a prize draw with Willy Teoh, Senior Manager, East Asia Talent Acquistion, Schneider Electric, being the lucky winner of a dinner voucher.
The event heralds an exciting time for the Women in HR Forum. By addressing current affairs head on and taking the lead on encouraging change, the Forum is driving Fircroft forward as the industry innovator in encouraging both individuals and businesses alike to better achieve workplace gender equality.
But changing workplace cultures to benefit everyone and showing how diversity benefits all within an organisation is only the beginning. Taking action to shape and form the future is firmly on the Forum’s agenda.
With Fircroft’s global reach and Michaella’s motivation to reach out and help, the Women in HR Forum is set to have a positive impact locally and globally.
