This month we welcome Kate to the Fircroft family.
We sat down with Kate and asked her a few questions as she starts life in her new role as recruitment consultant. 1. Tell us a little about your new role? What does it entail? Are there any particular parts of the role that you think will be particularly challenging / rewarding?
My role as recruitment consultant involves dealing with both clients and contractors on a daily basis to help fulfil their recruitment needs. The role is fast paced and constantly changing therefore I need to be adaptable and up to date with the current market! 2. What do you think of Fircroft?
I have previously worked for Fircroft and since coming back I can see a lot of exciting changes and prospects. I work within a great team of people here. 3. Tell us a little about your previous work experience- have you got a background in technical recruitment? Or is this a completely new role for you?
I have previously joined Fircroft as a Resourcer back in June 2013 on the nuclear energy team and after a year I worked my way up to a Recruitment Consultant role. I have spent the last year traveling around Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia and have joined back within the same team into a similar role. 4. What do you like best about working in recruitment?
I like how recruitment is fast paced and has to be flexible to the consistent changes within the market. The buzz and excitement of making a placement is worth all of the challenges and hard work a recruiter faces day to day. 5. Fircroft has offices across the globe. If you could go and visit any of them, which one would you choose?
I would love to visit the office in Rio de Janeiro – and perhaps I could tie in a visit the Maracana and Copacabana beach while I’m there..!
