Oil and gas employment in Vietnam is currently driven by a growth in oil production in addition to the country’s established refining industry.
As the third largest oil producer in South East Asia, Vietnam’s daily output of oil reached 394,700 in 2011 and is predicted to reach 407,000 barrels per day by 2015. Gas production in Vietnam is also predicted to increase over the coming years, reaching an estimated 24bn cubic metre by 2016.
